Re-frame Your Mindset

This is going to be a short post, I just wanted to get this out there. I wanted to talk about mindset and re-framing how you think. The kind of person we tell ourselves we are is the person we become. It's kind of like the law of attraction; Positive or negative thoughts bring positive or negative experiences into a person's life. How we think, who we write up ourselves to be, is who we are.

Think of this, for example: Say you've tried many times to start an exercise routine, but always fall off. Now you might say "I always fail to stick to an exercise routine." Now try to re-frame that into a more positive train of thought, like "I have tried many different programs, but even if I fall off I always try again." When you rewrite a negative behavior or thought and turn it into a positive one, it can help keep you more motivated and on track.

Even if it's not for a specific goal, changing your mindset has an effect on everything else in your life. It allows you to feel more gratitude for things and makes life sweeter. Sometimes it may be hard to have a positive mindset, especially when bad things happen. I've been there, and so has everyone else on the planet. The important thing is to not get sucked up into a negative way of thinking, and always look for that silver lining; see what lessons can be learned from difficult situations. And remember: You write your own story, so write up a good one.
